For Watches and Wonders 2026, TAG Heuer brings massive updates to its Monaco collection with the new TAG Heuer Monaco Evergraph and new Monaco Chronograph models that debut the brand's manufacutre 80-hour chronograph calibre with the OG-style left-sided crown for the first time. We went inside TAG Heuer's manufacture in La Chaux-de-Fonds to sit down with Movements Director Carole Kasapi — the mastermind behind the new Monaco Evergraph and its radical Calibre TH-80 — and what we discovered is nothing short of a reinvention of the chronograph as we know it. Five years in the making, the TH-80 abandons the traditional architecture of levers, springs, and friction-based mechanisms entirely. In its place: bistable compliant mechanisms — components that snap between two stable states with no friction, no spring tension, just pure, precise, instantaneous action. The result is a pusher experience unlike anything else on the market. Smoother. Faster. With a click signature all its own. Oh, and the reset hammer? 3D-printed, because function demanded it. That's before we even get to the carbon hairspring — making its debut in full series production for the first time — co-developed simultaneously with Vaucher on the same virtual base movement.
