New Hublot Big Bang Reloaded – including Kylian Mbappé & Usain Bolt Limited Editions

Hublot has never been subtle. From the moment the original Big Bang landed, this was a brand that played loud, played bold, and played to win. But somewhere between the celebrity partnerships, the King Gold launches, and the high-octane material innovations, a quieter story got drowned out — the story of what Hublot can actually do inside a watch case. The Big Bang Unico Reloaded is here to change that. Built around the HUB1280 calibre — the brand's in-house flyback chronograph movement, introduced in 2018 and still one of the most technically accomplished movements in its segment — this new collection puts the mechanics front and centre. Not through traditional skeletonisation, but through a brilliantly conceived open dial architecture that frames four of the movement's five patented innovations in full view. The dual oscillating clutches, the constant pressure friction system, the zero-friction ratchet wheel blocker, and the fine balance wheel adjustment — all visible, all deliberate, all extraordinary. The case stays true to Big Bang DNA: 44mm, 14.5mm thick, with titanium, ceramic, and King Gold options for the core collection. Full ceramic models in black, blue, and green round things out. The one-click strap system, the signature round bezel screws, the angular pushers — it's all here, all familiar, all exactly as it should be. Then there are the two limited editions that take this reloaded concept somewhere personal. The Usain Bolt version — cased in black ceramic with an 18k yellow gold frosted carbon bezel — carries the Jamaican colours, a lightning bolt seconds hand, and one of the most playful dial tricks in recent memory: where you'd expect to find 7, there's an upside-down 5, which reads 9.58 when inverted. His world record 100m time. On the case back, a bolt shape made from actual Jamaican soil. You truly couldn't make it up. Kylian Mbappé's debut Hublot collaboration arrives in polished and bead-blasted white ceramic with a King Gold bezel engraved with two words: Trust Yourself. Simple. Loaded. Both are limited to 200 pieces. The Big Bang Unico Reloaded isn't a pivot.
