And the best part was its font for the numerals, a small element that can make a huge difference. But it wasn't all about looks, as Hermès also gave us an excellent monopusher chronograph and cool new materials such as braided glass fibre, aluminium and slate powder composite cases. Now, though, the French design institute introduces the next chapter for the H08 by pulling back its covers. And kudos where kudos are due, as Hermès has not taken the easy route. On the contrary, even as it uses a shaped movement with a very contemporary design and construction, it is wound by a rotor that follows the shape of the case. The result is a watch that is as coherent as it is original, yet quintessentially an Hermès, and more importantly, an H08. This, and more, in the full video.
