Introduced last year in a series of all-steel models, it rekindles the free-spirited design ethos of the original Vanac series from the 1970s. Hallmarked by edgy designs, faceted crystals, colourful dials and blocky hour markers, the series was short-lived but embraced by fans. This revived Vanac spirit radiates throughout the entire current collection, including the latest two, the SLA093 and SLA095. Both capture the essence of Vanac with edgy cases and dials inspired by the bustling city of Tokyo. Power yet again comes from the Grand Seiko-derived Calibre 8L45, which can be seen through the back. The biggest change compared to the other models in the series is the move from a steel bracelet to leather straps, toning things down a touch. This, and a lot more, in the full video.
